Man with a Guitar

This is Man with a Guitar, made by Braque at Céret between nineteen eleven and early nineteen twelve. He and Picasso worked there in such close exchange that their canvases from these months are famously hard to tell apart. The guitar survives only as a few legible fragments in a lattice of grey-brown planes.
