Here we have One: Number 31, nineteen fifty — a painting by the American artist Jackson Pollock, nineteen fifty. The piece is oil and enamel paint on canvas, about 2.7 by 5.3 meters. It is one of the largest things in this museum — about 51 times the area of a typical work here. Pollock was married to Lee Krasner — who also hangs in this museum.
