Wrapped Roses

This is Wrapped Roses — a work by the American artist Christo, nineteen sixty-eight. Multiple of plastic roses, polyethylene, and plastic string — about 6 by 60 centimeters. It is an odd shape for a picture: about 0.6 metres one way and 0.1 the other, so it reads as a band rather than a window. Christo was part of the land art movement.
