This is an untitled sculpture Cy Twombly made in New York in nineteen fifty-five out of wood, cloth, twine and paint — and then added more cloth to, in Philadelphia, twenty years later. He painted his sculptures white, which turns scavenged junk into something closer to a plaster cast of an antiquity.
