This one's called Untitled — a painting by the Cuban artist Carmen Herrera, nineteen fifty-two. Herrera was part of the Minimalism movement. Acrylic, a pigment suspended in plastic emulsion that dries in minutes and stays flexible afterwards. You can pick out the bold stripes.
