Before you is Girl at the Piano, by Jacques Villon, painted around nineteen twelve to nineteen fourteen. Villon was born Gaston Duchamp, one of three artist brothers alongside Marcel Duchamp and Raymond Duchamp-Villon. His Cubism stayed lyrical, built on fine gradations rather than hard breaks.
