Fulang-Chang and I

This is Fulang-Chang and I, in two parts — Frida Kahlo's self-portrait of nineteen thirty-seven, and beside it a mirror in a matching painted frame, added afterwards so that whoever stands here joins the picture. Fulang-Chang was her pet spider monkey, one of a small menagerie she kept at the Blue House in Mexico City.
