Brooch

This one's called Brooch — a sculpture by the American artist Alexander Calder, around nineteen forty. Calder was part of the kinetic art movement. It's hammered silver, about 31 by 30 centimeters. It is among the darkest surfaces here: measured across the whole picture it gives back very little light. You can pick out the bird.
