Town and Country Salt and Pepper Shakers

This one's called Town and Country Salt and Pepper Shakers — a design object by the American artist Eva Zeisel, around nineteen forty-five. Glazed earthenware: clay fired at a low temperature and sealed with a glassy coat, which is what makes it usable at a table. It is among the smallest things here — you could close a hand around it.
