This one's called Through Coleman Hollow up the Allegheny Valley — a painting by the American artist John Kane, around nineteen twenty-eight. Oil on canvas — pigment ground into a slow-drying oil, which is what lets a painter go back into wet paint for days. You can pick out the river, and the train. Kane was part of the naïve art movement.
