The Bricks

This one's called The Bricks — a painting by Reena Spaulings, two thousand six. Acrylic, a pigment suspended in plastic emulsion that dries in minutes and stays flexible afterwards. It is one of the largest things in this museum — about 105 times the area of a typical work here. You can pick out the textile pattern.
