Suprematist Painting

Kazimir Malevich · 1916-17

Here we have Suprematist Painting — a painting by Kazimir Malevich, nineteen sixteen to nineteen seventeen. Oil on canvas — pigment ground into a slow-drying oil, which is what lets a painter go back into wet paint for days. You can pick out the abstract geometric. Malevich was part of the Suprematism movement.
