Moonbird

This one's called Moonbird — a sculpture by the Spanish artist Joan Miró, nineteen sixty-six. Miró was part of the surrealism movement. Cast in bronze, almost always by the lost wax method, in which the model is destroyed to release the metal. Somewhere in there: the carved figure, and the dog.
