Here we have L'Abbatoire No. six (The Slaughterhouse No. six) — a print by Eldzier Cortor, around nineteen fifty-five. Aquatint — resin dusted onto the plate and bitten in acid to make tone rather than line, the printmaker's way of getting a wash.
