This is Empire, by Lutz Bacher, two thousand fourteen — two projectors, plexiglass, sandbags and metal stands, showing ten minutes of high-definition video. The sandbags and stands are not concealed. Bacher habitually left the apparatus in plain view, so the room is as much the work as the image is.
