This is Book 4, by Lucas Samaras, nineteen sixty-two — a book with pins driven through it, and a table knife, scissors, a razor blade, metal foil, a piece of glass and a plastic rod. It cannot be opened and it cannot be handled. Samaras made a long series of these domestic objects turned hostile.
